Search Engine Marketing Strategies
Every SEO marketing campaign is totally different from all others. There is not a blueprint or an outline that is set out so that you can just fill in the blanks each time. While some elements of an SEO campaignwill remain the same it will take careful planning to bring about a successful campaign each time. Each web marketing campaign will need to be carefully assessed so that a few elements are clearly defined. The targeted audience will change based on the product, service, business location or even information being distributed. All of these are factors that influence each project in a unique way. Each need to be assessed to make sure strategies successfully reach marketing goals.
Not one strategy comprises a complete campaign. When evaluating an SEO strategy for a given site or page all elements must be considered. And while in general, one strategy is not better than another, one may be more effective in a given situation than another.
Organic Search vs. Social Media
These are two very different web marketing strategies. One is not necessarily better than the other but each one delivers different results. For instance, with social media you will have to have very unique material or exclusive insights to grab the audience. This media is not very predictable and you always take the chance of someone giving negative feedback. It is not sustainable, but it will give you some very good boosts in traffic and can also provide some valuable back links. Organic search engine traffic on the other hand is sustainable as well as measurable. It may not give those dramatic boosts that social media can spike for your site but it can help keep a steady flow of traffic coming to the site. Basically each of them have their own pluses and minuses. It is a good idea to incorporate each of them into an SEO strategy on one level or another.
Link Building Strategies vs. Content Creation
For a long time all of the emphasis in website optimization was on content and using keywords. The trouble was that the quality of the content began to suffer because many tried to just stuff keywords in the content to get the traffic without regards to transferring pertinent information to site visitors. When the new Panda update came out and search engines changed their algorithms it seems some of the emphasis shifted a little too far to just link building techniques. The truth is that it’s not really an either/or choice. Each of these techniques are valued differently by search engines. Both of them are equally important and depending on the web design and intended audience each have their own place of in SEO strategies.
A good SEO strategy will incorporate several different web marketing tools. It cannot concentrate on only one and expect to build a successful site. A carefully planned strategy will look to see how each can work together to build a successful search engine marketing campaign.
