I would like to welcome you to my eleventh SEO tip of the day; here I will discuss the importance of title optimization.

Title optimization or the optimization of H1 tags (an H1 tag is simply the title tag that you add to each page of your site, or that is automatically added to each new page of your blog through the title of the post) is crucial for successful SEO. The reason for this importance is b/c this is the primary way by which Google will list you in search engine results, and is likely the search term under which your site will rank, for example if you have a page on your site with the title “Man Caves” and you have the proper # of links going to that page, your site is popular… it is very likely that you will appear on the top of results when that phrase is Googled. Here are a few ways to optimize title tags on your site: each page must have a title tag! The job of the title tag is to describe the majority of the content on that page and this description should be as short and as direct as possible. It is very useful to include one of your keywords in each title tag, this way you increase the chance that that page will rank for that keyword. Also, each title tag must be unique (this is vitally important!)

For blogs, the title of each blog post will become the title tag of each page, so it is important for you to choose the titles of blog posts wisely. In optimizing blog titles you should follow all the advice listed above and should add this: A blog post title should be a phrase that people might Google in order to find your post.
