Some facts about H1 tags
H1 tags are one of the more important technical features of your on-page SEO; this is b/c the H1 tag is a title tag that essentially tells search engines what the particular page is about. Having good H1 tags therefore helps greatly improve the SEO of your site. Here is a video that helps explain some more about H1 tags. H1 tags are seen as more powerful from an SEO point of view.
If you have need for multiple headers you can use H2, H3… tags, Google looks at these as well but they are not given such a high priority.
Additionally Google often takes H1 tags and uses them as the title tag in search results.
